Each year Art Gallery of St Albert (AGSA) holds a fundraiser to raise much needed funds to support programming and exhibitions. To celebrate our newly renovated barrier-free building we invite the public to join us for MUGSHOTS! This month-long sale and clay extravaganza runs from June 6–29 and features hands-on programs, professional demonstrations, creativity, and silly puns, all with the goal of raising funds and sharing our passion for art with the entire community.
Artists, artisans, ceramicists and potters are encouraged to show their generosity by supporting AGSA with a donation of a handmade ceramic mug they have created.
Donated mugs will be sold and photos of the mugs (AKA the MUGSHOTS) will be widely shared on social media and our website. Publicity includes a short bio of the artist who created the piece, and links to their websites or social media accounts.
Mugs are sold in two categories: ‘Artist’ Category ($40 value/ sales price) and ‘Community’ ($20 value/ sales price). Prices reflect that this is an event with the intention of raising funds.
Donations are welcome from creators of all ages, backgrounds and experiences. Send us your newly-made mugs, your beautiful experiments, your lonely or ugly mugs, or that-mug-that-just-hasn’t-found-the-right-home-yet!

Funds raised during MUGSHOTS will sustain our exceptional services to the community, including free admission to the gallery, and low fees for all of our community and studio art programs. Art Gallery of St. Albert is part of the Arts and Heritage Foundation (Registered charitable organization 868543331 RR0001, #200, 20 Perron Street, St Albert, AB T8N 1E4, incorporated in Alberta).
The MUGSHOTS fundraiser will cost us $850 and we expect to raise $5,000.
We are not currently accepting submissions for the Art Rental & Sales Gallery. Please check back in 2019.
The Art Gallery of St. Albert Gallery Shop is seeking submissions from craft artists, designers, and artisans in the community and beyond who would like to have their work featured in our retail space. Our shop represents over 30 regional makers, and has become a destination retail space for buyers of unique handmade, high-quality jewelry, housewares, and gift items influenced by fine art and design.
Artists receive 60% commission on all sales. Retail sale price is set by the artist.
If work is inactive for a period of more than six (6) months, the Gallery Shop reserves the right to return the piece(s).
The Art Gallery of St. Albert Gallery Shop will contact successful applicants within four weeks of receipt of submission.
