The exhibit is comprised of artworks from the Art Gallery of St. Albert collection, artworks from local artists, as well as works loaned from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts collection.

This poignant exhibit mediates the conflict between the politics of war and human values.

Blood, Toil, Tears explores the human element of war—it contemplates and commemorates soldiers who fought and who were lost, as well as civilians displaced by warfare.

Creative Endeavours celebrates the joys of artistic creation and features the works of prolific makers Gene and J Marg Brenda. The exhibit includes a wide array of media; watercolour and acrylic painting, ceramics and photography. Both artists demonstrate in the flesh that creative expression is good for the soul!

Art Gallery of St. Albert (AGSA) is seeking AGSA Community Program participants to display the work they create in any of our community programs in the exhibit. We welcome works created from June – December 2016. Join us to celebrate the creativity of the entire community, young and old, together.

The exhibit will also feature the works of photographer Amber Bracken, who has captured candid portraits of the Brenda’s in their art filled home.
