St. Albert is a community defined and celebrated for its artistic endeavors and inhabitants. The St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council (SAPVAC), comprised of the St. Albert Potters Guild, Painter’s Guild, Floral Art Society, Quilters’ Guild and Paper Arts Guild, has long been a cornerstone of this vibrant artistic community.

Guilded is a time-honored exhibition that highlights the work of SAPVAC members. Since its inception, this exhibition has featured an array of artworks from local artists who work and create in the visual arts wing of St. Albert Place, designed by celebrated Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal. These fully equipped spaces, situated along the Sturgeon River, support and strengthen the visual arts and crafts experience in St. Albert and region.

In recent years, participating artists have been guided by a central theme. 2020’s title is aptly 20/20 Vision – a broad theme which invites a variety of responses from makers who create individual and collaborative works. It offers a glorious vision of faith and optimism for the future and shares the positive hopes and observations of a diverse collection of artists.
