Lara Felsing was born and raised in Peace River, AB. She is a graduate of the Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Vancouver, BC; earning a BFA in painting and drawing, as well as a fashion design diploma from the Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design. Felsing has also studied overseas at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia, and is currently the Arts Coordinator at the Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum in Edson, AB.

Lara’s paintings depict dreamy still-life imagery painted in a soft, muted palette. She primarily works in oil and graphite, and occasionally loves incorporating fabric, thread and collage mixed media. From ocean swimmers to swaying palm trees, Felsing’s paintings evoke feelings of distant memories and faded photographs.
