Kentia Naud is the artist and designer behind Terre Ferme Pottery. Clay became part of Naud’s life in 2013, after graduating from a long period of medical training. After that time she purchased her first wheel and began potting in her home studio in St. Albert, Alberta. Naud created Terre Ferme and started selling her work in 2016 at local artisan markets.
Inspiration for the work comes from nature – the Western Canadian wilderness, animals, travel, children’s books, objects, and vintage images. Naud speaks French and this language inspires her as well.
All work uses commercial glazes that have been tested for food safety, and all are lead-free, dishwasher and microwave safe (except for pots with metallic/ gold luster).
