Gerald Delorme is descendant of Cree, Nipissing and Mohawk Peoples. Along with many of his generation, he was raised apart from his family heritage and biological relatives. Through dedicated research, he found that his ancestors were active in the fur trade as guides for Koo-Koo-Sint (David Thompson) and Alexander Mackenzie. Gerald continues this strong connection to the land by capturing the beauty of natural life in his drawings. He spends countless hours photographing and observing nature, looking for inspiration. Much of his work is held in private collections.
