Shana Wilson is an artist on a mission. Her powerful series For Women Who Roar, salutes and empowers women, unapologetically claiming space for women of all ages, ethnicities, experiences and backgrounds.
Wilson’s women are trailblazers and game–changers – individuals responsible for political and social transformation. Wilson has painted Dorothy Pitman–Hughes, Gloria Steinem, Anita Hill, Buffy Sainte Marie, and Edmonton’s Jamie Salé – to name a few.
Wilson’s ability to capture the authentic likeness of her subjects has garnered her recognition and respect. Her paintings have graced the cover of Time Magazine – twice!
This is your opportunity to see some of her latest work in person.
