High Energy is marking its 26th year. This annual exhibition celebrates the remarkable works created by St. Albert’s high school art students. It demonstrates the exceptional standard of visual art education provided by St. Albert high schools.

Five schools are participating in this year’s exhibition: Bellerose Composite High School, École Alexandre-Taché, École Secondaire Paul Kane High School, Outreach High School and St. Albert Catholic High School.

Art inspires students to see the world in new ways, learn about the past and understand the present. The works created for High Energy this year reflect the changes and challenges that have been faced by students over the last 14 months. In a turbulent and unpredictable year, art has been a shelter from the storm. We feel it essential to showcase the accomplishments of St. Albert’s youth and share the students’ unique experience of this unprecedented time.

Working in painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture and ceramics, students offer wild imaginings, formal explorations and personal reflections. A riot of colour, subject and thought, High Energy 26 celebrate the skill, talent and incredible hard work of St. Albert’s young artist.
