The International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA) is bringing its 31st annual international open juried Art Exhibition to Canada. Moved online in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Art Gallery of St. Albert is delighted to host this long-awaited group exhibition, which showcases the best that ISEA’s audience has to offer.

Supporting and encouraging artistic exploration and innovation lies at the core of ISEA’s purpose. Through ISEA, artists from around the world connect, share, inspire and collaborate, encouraging their practices ever onward.

INNOVATIONS 2022 promises to be a show like no other. Eclectic and expansive, it features artists from around the world, working in any media and creative process. Bringing together over 60 pieces, the exhibition is an enthusiastic tribute to creative experimentation.

Accompanying the exhibition will be ISEA’s annual symposium. Pushing Boundaries [Reboot] is a weeklong educational conference, including hands on workshops, demonstrations, lectures and tours. Hosted in the riverside art studios at St. Albert Place, in partnership with the City of St. Albert, the symposium is sure to inspire.

This sweeping exhibition and symposium present a rare opportunity to explore the varied approaches and acclaimed outcomes of a diverse group of artists.
