Alasha Lantinga’s work is a fusion of organic and geometric, funky and classic, earthy and ethnic. She builds her pieces from her home studio in Calgary AB, and primarily works with Precious Metal Clay, silver, and gemstone beads.  Since before she could remember she had an interest in playing with different materials and creating jewelry—in fact, some of Lantinga’s first memories are of creating macaroni art and jewelry, and proudly displaying it around the house. Inspiration for her work comes from her connection to the unique natural beauty of Vancouver Island where she grew up, her love of yoga, and from her travels through East and Southeast Asia.
